Southern Swing
Welcome again to the President’s Corner. Here we update you about what is going on with us and with the company. The golf “Off Season” may officially be upon many of us. More and more fellow golfers are putting away their clubs and taking some time off due to the looming winter months. Although temperatures in the South are cooling down, there is still plenty of great golf. There are many wonderful resorts and courses in the South that are ready to welcome visitors looking to get out of the cold and snow this winter. If your holiday or spring break plans bring you South, remember your golf clubs to enjoy an Off Season round in the sunshine. We are starting our Southern swing of golf resorts for the Travel Center. Soon, you will see articles on resorts from all over the South giving you great reviews and ideas for that perfect golf getaway. We are working diligently to increase awareness about My Golf Book. Our goal is to familiarize every golfer with My Golf Book. We will soon enter strategic partnerships with men’s and women’s golf associations, junior programs and regional organizations. We have received many requests from magazines to learn more about My Golf Book and include us in their new Product Guides for 2009. We are taking steps forward to partner with golf retail shops across the country. If you would like our product offered for sale in your course’s golf shop, ask your head golf professional, manager or merchandiser to contact us at information@mygolfbook.com. We are planning the launch of a new version of our website. Our new website will allow us to add more features, including being able to register your copy of My golf Book in order to receive a protective sleeve for your My Golf Book and chances at various prizes. Our new website will also allow you to sign up for our Quarterly Newsletter to be released in 2009. The type of Forums we are interested in (i.e., easy to read, easy to understand and easy to use) will also be possible with our new website. The Races, which track book sales, started in September and based on feedback, is a very popular feature. The Race is updated each week based on sales. Each month a winner is declared and the race is reset. The Pink Plaid book won both the September and October Races and continues to look very competitive. We are working to make the entire Races page more organized. You can view the Races but we are in the process of organizing the files from previous weeks so that you will be able to see, week by week and month by month, which books are performing well. The Pro’s Corner will soon feature a series of tips from Chris George, Head of Instruction at the Kingsmill Golf Academy. In his tips, Chris explains lag putting, pitching and the fairway bunker shot. Check out more tips to refine your game on the Kingsmill Golf Academy website at: http://www.kingsmill.com/golf/golfTips.asp. Remember that My Golf Book makes a great gift for any golfer. With the upcoming holidays, let that special golfer know that you want to help them improve and enjoy their golf games by giving them My Golf Book. It can also be a gift for yourself. If you spend time and money on your game, using My Golf Book to record a few notes about what you did to be successful and make good swings will improve your game and at least be one solid investment this year. Please continue to send in ideas for featured resorts to information@mygolfbook.com. We appreciate your ideas. If there are any questions about our books or our website, feel free to contact us as well. Enjoy your game. Chris Bystriansky President
