December 15, 2008 - Winter Golf

Welcome again to the President’s Corner. Here we update you about what is going on with us and with the company.

Winter is officially here but that does not mean that golf is put on an extended hiatus everywhere. There are still plenty of great golf days in the South and putting and chipping can be done indoors in the North. Remember that putting and chipping account for more than half of most golfers’ scores.

We recently returned from a trip to several golf resorts in Arizona, where cool nights and warm days create ideal golfing conditions this time of year. Check back on our website for resort reviews from our trip beginning with The Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa in Carefree, Arizona, just north of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

We are working diligently to spread the word about My Golf Book. Our plan includes increasing awareness online by creating a presence on many other websites, working with magazines and catalogues to be included in new product reviews and gift guides for the holiday season and entering the promotional products industry. Remember that My Golf Book can be customized with your company’s or event’s logo to be given as tee-prizes for your next event.

Look for the launch of our new and improved website in 2009. Our new website will allow us to add more features, including polls, instant feedback from viewers and registration of your copy of My Golf Book. The new website will also allow you to sign up for our Quarterly Newsletter to be released in 2009.

The Races, which track book sales on a month by month basis, started in September and are off to a terrific start. The Pink Plaid book won the September and October races while the Green Plaid won the November race. The Pink Plaid book looks to maintain a strong competitive advantage as our most popular style to date. We reorganized the Races page so that you can see all the previous updated race files and follow along week by week. You can also easily see which book won each month’s race.

Although winter is here and many people are not able to play, the golf magazines and television shows full of interesting tips and ideas keep coming. Use My Golf Book to record a tip or idea that can make an impact on your game and golf experiences. This way, come spring and you’re ready to hit the links again, you’ll have some of the best golf tips necessary to start playing your best quickly. Remember that My Golf Book makes a great gift for any golfer, including yourself this year. If you spend time and money on your game, using My Golf Book to record a few notes about what you did to be successful and make good swings will improve your game and at least be one solid investment this year.

If you would like our product offered for sale in your course’s golf shop, ask your head golf professional, manager or merchandiser to contact us at information@mygolfbook.com. Please continue to send in ideas for featured resorts to information@mygolfbook.com. We appreciate your ideas. If there are any questions about our books or our website, feel free to contact us as well.

Enjoy your game.
