Summer Updates

Welcome again to the President’s Corner. Here we update you about what is going on with us and with the company. We have seen some substantial changes this past Spring to the website and more changes will continue throughout the Summer.

First, we are within a few weeks of releasing our Quarterly Newsletter. The Newsletter will feature an interview with golf entrepreneur and business leader, Tony Korologos, owner of the nation’s biggest golf blog, Hooked on Golf Blog, and online golf networking site, The Golf Space. The Newsletter is also planned to include news and upcoming events from some of the best golf resorts in the country. We will continue this series with interviews of leaders in the golf industry that have some benefit to you as golfers. The intent here is not just to provide information but to give you something that you can act upon to improve your golf experiences. We firmly believe that golf should be fun, fast and affordable and the business leaders we meet and share with you will reflect these beliefs.

Second, we will soon be posting a new Travel Center article that features The Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort in northern Idaho. World famous for its floating green, Coeur d’Alene offers mountain golf on immaculate course conditions alongside a pristine lake – a great getaway from the heat plaguing most of the country.

Third, our homepage features something called “Shoutbox.” The Shoutbox allows you to leave a brief message on our message board. There is no log-in or other information necessary. Simply submit a name and your message and hit “submit.” Feel free to leave a brief comment on any topic you desire. Funny or outrageous comments are welcome.

Fourth, our Affiliate Marketing program is continuing to grow. Check out our “Partners & Affiliates” page to shop with some of your favorite retail stores. Also, if you are interested in earning a little cash you can join our affiliate program, put a link to www.mygolfbook.com on your site and receive a payment for each referral. Alternatively, if you are interested in simply exchanging links we will gladly add your golf-appropriate link to our site. We feel that referring the right people to the right sites may help golfers enjoy the game more. For instance, we don’t offer green or yellow polka-dot golf balls but if we can send a golfer to a site that does and it makes the golfer happy, then everyone wins.

Fifth, our second annual Century Round is planned for early August. We currently have a few spots available for participants. Test your golf skills, speed of play, mental game and endurance in this one day 100-hole golf extravaganza. Contact us for more details.

If you would like our product offered for sale in your course’s golf shop, ask your head golf professional, club manager or merchandiser to contact us at information@mygolfbook.com. Please continue to send in ideas for featured resorts to information@mygolfbook.com. We appreciate your ideas. If there are any questions about our books or our website, feel free to contact us as well.

Enjoy your game.
