August 14, 2008 - Midwest Trip

Welcome again to the President’s Corner. This is another edition to let you know what’s going on with My Golf Book. We’ve had a few inquiries about extremely customized covers which would turn out great. The covers would look like works of art if they were made. I hope these organizations decide to move forward with My Golf Book because the books would really show off the organizations’ creativity and the eye-catching covers would definitely be conversation pieces.

The new Travel Center featuring Kingsmill resort should be up and ready to read. Check out the write-up and learn even more about Kingsmill at www.kingsmill.com.

We recently returned from a trip to the Midwest where we visited some great resorts including The Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Erin Hills in Erin (or Hartford), Wisconsin and the town of Kohler, Wisconsin. The Grand Geneva has surprisingly lush grounds with 2 exciting golf courses and is just outside one of the great American small town summer vacation spots, Lake Geneva. Visit www.grandgeneva.com. Erin Hills is only a few years old and is climbing up all the Top Courses lists with its raw golf experience and likelihood of hosting a U.S. Open. Check out their website for more information and for specials. Visit www.erinhills.com. You may want to play Erin Hills before the word spreads. Kohler, well known for its Kohler kitchen and bath fixtures, has developed into a world-renown golf destination with 4 courses (2 at Whistling Straits and 2 at Blackwolf Run). Visit www.destinationkohler.com. All 3 destinations are easy drives from the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Look for these write-ups in the coming weeks.

Please continue to send in ideas for resort reviews to information@mygolfbook.com. Along with some of the most popular resorts, we also like to bring you information about lesser known but still great golf destinations. We appreciate your ideas.

I am still thinking about the 100-hole round in 1 day that I mentioned in the last President’s Corner message. However, the days are getting shorter and the weather forecasts don’t seem to be cooperating. If it happens, I’ll let you know about it.

We’re in the process of acquiring bags for My Golf Book. The bags will allow My Golf Books to be delivered wrapped and given as easy gifts. The bags will be posted on the website once they arrive.

Again, we’re still working on the blogs/forums. We hope to have those up and running soon.

The races portion of the website is close to completion. The races will show how your favorite My Golf Book cover style is doing compared to the others. We should have the races up by next week.

If there is a question about our books or our website, please let us know. Contact us if you have any questions about the resorts we have visited or for recommendations.

Thanks for visiting our website.

Enjoy your game.
Chris
